Monday 8/23/2010

Welcome to Chemistry 152 and 152L at Miramar College! Today's class is about measurements, precision, and unit conversions. It's a common place to start because, without precise measurements of mass and volume, we wouldn't know much at all about chemistry.

Wednesday 9/8/2010

No homework due today.

Plan to continue talking about matter and energy (including a bit from Chapter 12, Sections 4 and 5 - heat of fusion, heat of vaporization, etc). You'll learn things better if you've taken a look at Chapters 3 and 4 before today's class.

Monday 9/13/2010

Today's quiz was a review of a few things that we've covered so far. I wanted to give you an actual quiz so you'd see what it would be like during the exams (and so you'd bring a calculator!).

Wednesday 9/15/2010

More about Atoms - Finished yesterday's presentation, also wrote a lot on the board.

Monday 9/20/2010
